Departments of Counseling Center
1- Counseling & Psychotherapy Department
Emotional and communication counseling: It is provided for those students who have experienced adaptation problems due to being far from family or have faced interpersonal problems in the environment of dormitory.
Psychological Counseling: In this section, the visitors who suffer from psychological disorders such as stress, depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) etc. are treated by the psychotherapists.
Family Counseling: This section has been devoted to the provision of consultation services for students with family problems.
Marriage and Marital Counseling: This part is to help for premarital, marital and couples issues
Educational and Career Counseling: It is provided for those students with educational and career problems such as learning disabilities and disorders, academic failure, and occupational matters.
2- Social Work Department:
The main functions of this department is to follow-up and provide environmental and organizational support for the students, follow-up the academic status of probation or dismissal students and conduct necessary correspondence with Special Cases Assessment Commission, Disciplinary Council etc. for the omission of courses or semester taken by such students after its addressing in the respective council.
3- Psychometrics Department:
The functions of this department are limited to taking different tests from students including intelligence/IQ test, personality & psychology test and interpretation of test results so as to make the students aware from their status.
4. General Practitioner & Health Promotion Specialist: This part of Counseling and health center is devoted to promote physical health of students and other staffs of university. It also aims to make a healthier environment in university.
5. Workshops, Seminars, and Group Counseling: Different workshops, seminars and group counseling are held in university each term, focusing on the role of student collaborators of counseling center- Kanoon Hamyaran Salamt- which is a voluntary association of students whose aim is to improve and facilitate the physical and psychological health of peers.
